We ride year-round in Puerto Rico’s mild 70s-80s weather. Morning rides tend to be sunnier, while afternoons can be a bit cooler. You’ll be in a mix of sun and shade, and best of all—no poisonous snakes or spiders! We also don’t have a mosquito problem.
Since spaces are limited, reservations are required. We stay busy year-round, so book early to secure your spot! 🌿🐴
Yes! We welcome families and do not have a minimum age. Most young children have a blast.
- We have special saddles with seat belts.
- Younger riders are usually paired with a guide who rides alongside them for extra support.
- Your child should be comfortable going on a short hike on our rock stairs without needing to be carried.
- If your child is adventurous and excited about the river, they’ll likely love the experience!
If your child struggles with balance, has special needs, or if you have any concerns, please contact us so we can make sure this experience is a great fit for your family.
It’s the rainforest, so a little rain is part of the adventure! Many guests say the light rain made their experience even more magical.
We rarely have to cancel due to weather. If we do, you’ll have the option to reschedule or get a full refund.
💧 River Conditions:
- When it hasn’t rained recently, the pools are crystal clear and perfect for swimming.
- After rainfall, the deeper pools may have a stronger current, but you can still wade at the water’s edge and enjoy the breathtaking scenery.
If swimming is a must for you, let us know when you book so we can keep you updated on conditions!
Yes. Our ride includes steep terrain and a short hike to the river, so being generally active will help you enjoy the experience.
- Standard weight limit: 220 lbs
- If you’re just over the limit, contact us! We sometimes we can offer special tickets ($20 extra) to accommodate. The extra fee goes toward a massage for your horse—they work hard too! 🐎💆♀️
Our regular scheduled tours run on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
- We may have limited availability on other days or times for special bookings.
- Sunday & Monday: Closed for well-deserved horse rest! 🐴❤️

We’re about 25 minutes east of the San Juan airport in Rio Grande. See us on Google Maps.
📍 Directions:
- Take PR186 to Bella Vista, PR 9960.
- When you see junked school buses, you’re close! We’re the next entrance on the left after KM 1.8 with a white metal gate.
- Park opposite our sign in front of the horse trailer. Please do not park in our neighbors front yard.
- If you see the treehouse, you just missed us!
🚗 Driving tips:
- We are located on a dead end road.
- You must use route PR 186 to our road,PR 9960 to arrive. There is no back way.
- Avoid turning right from the Guzman Abajo exit—it leads to a closed road.
- Instead, use 186 or turn LEFT at the Guzman Abajo exit, then a sharp RIGHT at the bar, cross the bridge and go up the hill to 186. Your GPS should correct itself from there!
🚕 Transportation Options:
- Samuel’s Taxi Service (787-688-2961) – Great for groups, includes a cooler & tolls ($150 round trip from Isla Verde).
- Max Luxury Transport (939-269-8459) – Flat-rate luxury service ($200 round trip from Metro area).
- Anthony Reyes Taxi (787-478-0806) – Budget-friendly option (~$70 from San Juan).
- Uber is also a great option!

Yes! You can cancel or reschedule for a 100% refund with 24 hours notice.

- Start with a brief riding orientation, perfect for beginners, and get to know our beautiful, well-trained Criollo horses before mounting up for the journey ahead.
- Descend the scenic yet steep mountain trail into the rainforest, surrounded by hanging fruit, birdsong, and fresh mountain breezes. Take in breathtaking views of El Yunque and El Toro’s towering peaks as you ride through this lush paradise.
- At the river, dismount and carefully navigate steep rock stairs to reach the Rio Espiritu Santo’s stunning pools. Depending on recent rainfall, the waters may be crystal clear or take on a wilder, more dynamic flow—either way, it’s an unforgettable experience. If conditions permit, take a refreshing dip in our spring-fed infinity pool, a true natural oasis.
- Ascend the trail back up the mountain, soaking in expansive rainforest views. After returning to the stables, conclude your adventure at our scenic lookout platform, where you’ll enjoy a taste of fresh, in-season fruit picked straight from the tree.
