Your Questions, Answered
Frequently Asked Questions
Yes! We don’t have a minimum age. We are going on an adventure. Your child will need to ride and go on a short hike. If your child is under 40 inches their feet may struggle to reach the stirrups. We regularly have families with children join us. If your child is excited about going to river, they will probably love it! We have special ponies and special saddles with seat belts for them. They are usually assigned to a staff member who will ride beside them and assist throughout the ride.
If your child is particularly fear driven, struggles with balance, has special needs or you have any concerns about the experience, please contact me. I can get your questions answered and help you decide if the Rainforest River Ride Adventure is a good fit for you and your family.
We probabaly will have a rainbow!🌈 But seriously we are located in the El Yunque Rainforest area so it does rain here. People often say that the rain made their adventure even cooler. We don’t normally have to cancel for weather. If we do cancel for weather, we will reschedule or refund your tickets.
Sometimes the river is crystal clear and sometimes, if its been raining the deeper pools may have too much current for swimming. You can still wade in at the waters edge and enjoy the refreshing water and the beauty of the Espiritu Santo and the AMAZING views! If you have your heart set on swimming and want to cancel if that’s not an option, let us know. Your satisfaction is our priority. Looking forward to sharing an amazing Rainforest River Ride Adventure with you.
Yes we do. Our tour is an adventure and being generally physically fit will make your experience more enjoyable as we ride down the mountain and take the rock stairs to the river. Regular tickets have a weight limit of 220lbs. If you are just a little over, contact us directly to see if any special tickets are available. They are $20 extra. The extra goes towards a massage for your horse. After all they are working hard too.
Our schedule is available on line. Usually tours are Thursday, Friday and Saturdays. Sometimes we have more limited availability for special bookings on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Check out the online schedule.
Sunday and Monday we are closed. The horses need their rest and beauty sleep🐴❤️
